Employers Signaling Greater Flexibility: Degrees Not Required

This recent WSJ article by Austen Hufford entitled, “Employers Rethink Need for College Degrees in Tight Labor Market” shows the increased flexibility that employers are offering in an effort to attract the skills needed to win the current economy. Many employers have reduced educational requirements for certain positions and shifted hiring to focus more on skills and experience.

As you consider your next role (or a side hustle), you should first know that you have value to offer – especially in a tight labor market. Second, you also have a much greater opportunity to bring flexibility to your overall situation beyond compensation – especially the so-called “work-life balance”.
